WISE CYCLE CAMPAIGN

The Wise Cycle Campaign (a program of the Wise Counsel Foundation) is committed to ensuring that children in it's geographical footprint is afforded the opportunity to grow and learn from the generations that have shaped the culture of our southern lifestyle. 

Riding a bike not only improves physical fitness, it also benefits your child’s learning development and mental health. Riding a bike needs coordination, pedaling, and control skills. Studies have linked cycling to brain health and power. As the kids engage in cycling, blood flow to the brain is increased. 

Cycling can help to protect your child from serious diseases such as stroke, heart attack, some cancers, depression, diabetes, obesity and arthritis. Riding a bike is healthy, fun and a low-impact form of exercise for all ages. Cycling is easy to fit into your daily routine by riding to the shops, park, school or work.  

Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that are the most rewarding. Learning to ride a bike is one of them. Once your child has a bike, cycling is a fun and free activity that they can enjoy with friends and family for life.

Every year,  the Wise Cycle Campaign aims to give as many children (Ages 7 - 14) as we can in the geographical vicinity of Meridian, Mississippi an operable bicycle to aid in the developmental learning process of their childhood. Our hopes are that these children will participate in our learning events, of which our foundation, the Wise Counsel Foundation, provide on a regular basis, as they navigate through elementary school until graduation in high school. Our intent is that the Wise Cycle Campaign is a direct link to years of valuable mentorship within the Wise Counsel Foundation that will motivate the children within our community to go after inspiring job careers after high school.
